Soil Nailing

Reinforcing slopes and excavation faces in place, without the need for a separate retaining structure.

Soil Nailing

Soil Nailing

Soil nailing reinforces the ground where it stands - holding slopes and excavation faces in place as they're exposed.

During excavation or on steep natural slopes, the soil face needs support as soon as it's exposed, before it's at risk of sliding or collapsing. Soil nailing installs steel bars (nails) directly into the slope, bonded with grout, to reinforce the soil mass in place.

It's a practical alternative to building a separate retaining wall - faster to install, and effective across a wide range of slope angles and soil types.

In-situ slope and excavation face reinforcement
Faster and often more cost-effective than retaining walls
Suitable for temporary and permanent slope support
Engineered nail spacing and length for the specific slope

Soil Nailing Capabilities

Grouted Steel Nail Installation

Steel bars drilled and grouted into the slope to reinforce the soil mass directly.

Excavation Support

Stabilizing excavation faces as they're exposed during construction, stage by stage.

Shotcrete Facing

Reinforced shotcrete facing applied over the nailed slope for a finished, stable surface.

Engineered Nail Pattern

Nail length, spacing and angle designed to match the slope's soil condition and height.

Every nailing pattern is designed for the slope's actual soil and height, not a standard spacing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our Soil Nailing services.

Soil nailing is a ground reinforcement technique where steel bars (nails) are drilled and grouted directly into a slope or excavation face, reinforcing the soil in place without needing a separate retaining structure.

Soil nailing is used where a slope or excavation face needs support quickly as it's exposed, or where building a separate retaining wall isn't practical or cost-effective.

Yes. Nail length, spacing and facing are engineered differently depending on whether the support is needed temporarily during construction or permanently.

Soil nailing works across a wide range of slope angles and soil types, and is commonly combined with shotcrete facing for a finished, stable surface.

Yes. We are based in Pune and execute soil nailing projects across India.
